The Money Shot (c) Stef

Jacqui Smith addressed the very, very, secret, The First International Conference on Radicalisation and Political Violence at an unknown very, very secret location in London (not a million miles from Kings College) ... as Stef said of the report in the register this is the "Money Shot"(see PS)

The internet is a key tool for the propagandists for violent extremism... Let me be clear. The internet is not a no-go area for Government.

We are already working closely with the communications industry to take action against paedophiles... we should also take action against those who groom vulnerable people for the purposes of violent extremism... I will be talking to industry... about how best to do this.

Where there is illegal material on the net, I want it remo

. (Note use of personal pronoun)

One can only hope she changes her piss stained Uzbek cotton free drawers and freshens herself up before she infests our TV screens tonight to explain what the phrase "The internet is not a no-go area for Government." means. Let's hope Mark Urban with his freshly stained hair is on hand to explain what it all means. (Mark, alas wasn't there and unmarried Jacqui changed from her regulation Captain Scarlett jacket ( a trend set yesterday by Lady Dame Jane) for a cameo appearance as a dumb blonde (sans serious looking glasses) on BBC1 Question Time (see pic of the happy lady)

As The Register concludes their report ...

So, we've basically got two ways this could go.

One, the Brown cabinet are just grandstanding to technically ignorant voters. They won't do anything, safe in the knowledge that those voters will never realise this.

Or, two, the government actually plans to build a Chinese-style Great Firewall of Blighty which will prevent anyone looking at anything which says "jihadi" or "bomb" or "TATP" (whoops) etc. You'll probably be able to get round it if you know what you're doing, but it will be at the cost of slow, intermittent connections and possible, lengthy terror-powers detention without charge.

Let's hope they're just bullshitting. ®

PS : The "Money Shot" refers to the golden and exciting moment when the participants in "Bullseye" used to discover from legendary Accrington top comic Jim Bowen what they would have won.

UPDATE see PA report here and reuters here.
