Could there be any connection...

...between the diving pound sterling against the Euro and the willingness of the BOE to spirit up (and away ) unimagineable sums of money to support a second mortgage lender / bank (no make that 4th string) bank ...?

Given the mind boggling number of Euros brought into existence out of nowhere in the last few weeks a sterling fall is a damned impressive achievement.
