Boeing announce Japanese / French in seat video on 737's

Not unhappy to watch the problems that EADS are having fixing in-flight entertainment and services into the first of their production Airbus 360,(which carries more people, further at lower cost in more comfort than any other airliner ever) Boeing announce the first Next-Generation single aisle 737 equipped with a mixture of Japanese / French technology with their Panasonic eFx / Thales in-seat video entertainment system.

Size evidently matters as the first customers Jet Airways (India) sports back mounted 7-inch video monitors in every seat in economy class and huge 9-inch video monitors in the seat arms in business class each with audio and video on-demand movies, games and in-flight information.

There are also 110-VAC power outlets throughout the cabin and gooseneck personal reading lights in business class.

Two other un - named airlines have ordered these systems on their Next-Generation 737's which Boeing say is the most technologically advanced single-aisle jet family on the market today.

The exciting picture is from Boeing.
