North Korea - USAF keeps a watch

Although there has been a cease fire, the US remains alert, as North Korea's (DPRK) official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) on February 28 detailed 170 cases of "US aerial espionage" in February 2006.(The people's security institution in the DPRK (is)tasked to protect by law the socialist system, the life and soul of its people, tightly holding the arms for state security, is following with a high degree of vigilance all sorts of dastardly plots and operations of the enemy's intelligence and plot-breeding bodies against the DPRK.)

“U-2s” spied on the DPRK’s strategic targets almost every day after taking off U.S. air force bases in South Korea. On February 24 an overseas- based “RC-135” was busy with the photographing and electronic reconnaissance of all areas of the DPRK. An “EP-3” flew in the air above Taebu Islet and the area east of Kangrung to spy on the seabed of the north on February 2 and 11. On February 13, 14 and 15 an “E-3” was engrossed in spying on the targets of the north side in the areas along the Military Demarcation Line while commanding the flying corps engaged in different war drills including air battle, aerial target detecting and striking targets in the depth.

More than 30 cases of espionage with “U-2S,” “E-3 "Sentry" AIWACS and “EP-3” in February.

Tactical reconnaissance planes (Guardrail) such as “RC-12 and “RC-7B” flew in the air above areas along the forefront almost every day to spy on major military targets of the DPRK: 19 planes on February 8, 14 on February 9, and 9 on February 17.

April 19th was the Festival of KimilSungia and Kimilsungias ( a pink variety of camellia named after the revered Great leader Kim il Sung) were exhibited by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Sweden, the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, the Embassy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland

On the same day Abdullah Jalali Nasab, Iranian military attache , hosted a reception at Pyongyang Koryo Hotel Wednesday on the occasion of the Iranian Army Day. Present Vice-Minister of the People's Armed Forces Jong Chang Ryol and others and diplomatic envoys of different countries and military attaches of foreign embassies here.

Iranian Ambassador Jalaleddin Namini Mianji and embassy officials were present.
